CORNELIA CONNELLY HOSPITAL STRENGTHENS COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE WITH NEW DENTAL UNIT

Date: 18/02/2026

Cornelia Connelly Hospital, a premier Catholic healthcare institution managed by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus (SHCJ), is proud to announce the official opening of its newly established Dental Unit. This expansion marks a significant step in the hospital’s mission to provide holistic and affordable healthcare to the residents of Gidan Mangoro, Jikwoyi, and the wider FCT community.
The new unit was commissioned under the leadership of the current Hospital Administrator, Rev. Sister Elizabeth Okwori, who emphasized the facility's commitment to bridging the gap in specialized oral health services. "Our goal is to ensure that quality dental care is no longer a luxury but an accessible service for every member of our community," Sister Okwori stated during the opening ceremony.
The Cornelia Connelly Hospital Dental Unit is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment technology to handle a variety of oral health needs, including:
  • Routine Preventive Services: Professional cleanings, fluoride treatments, and comprehensive oral examinations.
  • Restorative Procedures: Advanced solutions for fillings, root canals, and crowns.
  • Surgical & Specialized Care: Tooth extractions and consultations for complex dental conditions.
  • Pediatric Dentistry: Specialized dental care tailored for children in a friendly environment.
Known for its dedication to saving lives first and serving the indigent, the hospital integrates this new unit into its existing suite of services, which includes maternity care, surgeries, and eye clinics.
Patients can now book appointments through the Cornelia Connelly Hospital Online Portal or visit the facility directly for consultations.
